ASWA.org is posting the names of ASWA members who were in Katrina's path and wish to let their ASWA friends know that they are all right after the storm. Please visit www.aswa.org for the full listing. If you were in Katrina's path and you want to post your name here, please send an email to aswa@aswa.org. In addition to your name, feel free to add your current location as well as a phone number or email address where other members may reach you. This information will only be listed on the secured Members Only section of ASWA's Web site.
Funds for Affected Chapters:
In response to the damage inflicted by Hurricane Katrina, ASWA is soliciting funds that will be given to the affected chapters, to be disbursed by the chapter leadership. ASWA is helping the New Orleans and other affected chapters collect funds to help the members and their families who have lost their homes and belongings. You may make a donation online at www.aswa.org. This donation will directly help a fellow member, and is not tax-deductible. In addition, we ahve launched a "Sponsor A Member" campaign and are asking chapters to "sponsor" a member of the New Orleans chapter by paying the member's dues for the 2006-2007 year. So far, we already have 22 members who have been sponsored by a chapter or an individual member. To support this worthwhile cause, please visit www.aswa.org for more details.
